- dexos1™ simplifies oil selection to one single specification
- New specification is backwards compatible to older vehicles and is an excellent choice for owners of pre-2011 model GM vehicles with gasoline engines who want the latest in engine oil technology (excluding Diesels vehicles, that require CJ-4 oils)
- Oil specified for 2010 and prior model year vehicles is still available as part of GM's comprehensive oil offering
- Because of the composition, dexos1 is priced slightly higher than conventional oil, however the incremental price is small when trading off the improved engine life and performance of your vehicle
- ACDelco Synthetic Blend dexos1 approved oil is less expensive than full synthetics, offering many of the same benefits
