GM Technologies

Tech II
Tech II is an advanced diagnostic tool specifically designed for GM vehicles.  Good Wrench Service technicians use this sophisticated software to instantly access the very latest service information stored in your cars on-board computer systems.

DEX-COOL™
GM was the first to use DEX-COOL™
long lasting, corrosion inhibiting engine coolant as a standard product.  For you, this means less hassle.  With proper recommended maintenance DEX-COOL™ requires changing just once every five years (or 240,000kms) instead of every two years like traditional coolant*.  It is recyclable, and its longer life also means less impact on the environment in terms of disposal and the consumption of non-renewable resources.  If your vehicle has DEX-COOL™, Goodwrench Service technicians will only use DEX-COOL™.  If it doesn't, they'll be sure to use the right coolant for your vehicle.
*Maintenance requirements vary with use and driving conditions.  See your service advisor for details.   Warning, do not mix DEX-COOL™ with other coolants.

Platinum-Tipped Spark Plugs
All newer GM vehicles are equipped with long lasting platinum-tipped spark plugs.  They conduct electricity more effectively than standard spark plugs for improved fuel economy and smoother acceleration.  They are also an integral part of GM engine technology that has reduced harmful emissions by more than 90% since the 1970's.  Platinum-tipped spark plugs only need to be replaced every 166,000kms*.  Goodwrench Service technicians only use platinum-tipped spark plugs and only replace plugs when they need replacing.
*Maintenance requirements vary with use and driving conditions.  See your service advisor for details.

Tire Pressure Monitor
Tires can lose up to one pound of pressure per square inch a month without notice.  General Motors developed the Tire Pressure Monitor (TPM) to alert drivers before tire inflation levels become dangerous*.  Keeping tires properly inflated also extends tire life and reduces wear on other components.  Reducing wear means consuming fewer natural resources (and creating less waste) by extending component life.  Goodwrench technicians will recalibrate the TPM whenever your tires are rotated.
*Note:  It is important to check tire pressure on a regular basis whether your vehicle has the TPM or not.  Only available on some GM vehicles.

Dexron-III
Extended-life, oxidation-resistant Dexron-III™ transmission fluid is designed to last the lifetime of your vehicle under regular driving conditions*.  Because this product lasts longer, less petrochemicals are required or have to be disposed of.  Good wrench Service technicians know your transmission fluid doesn't need changing, saving you time and money.
*Maintenance requirements vary with use and driving conditions.  See your service advisor for details.

GF4 Motor Oil
Identifiable by its distinctive "Starburst" symbol, GF4 Motor Oil has a longer life and contributes to increased fuel efficiency, increased emissions system protection* and reduced oil consumption.  Fewer oil and oil filter changes save you time and money.  Using (and disposing of) less petrochemicals means a reduced impact on the environment.  Whether your vehicle has GF4 Motor Oil or not, Goodwrench Service technicians only change your oil when it's required.
*Maintenance requirements vary with use and driving conditions.  See your service advisor for details.

dexos 1™

This certification of engine oil ensures optimal fuel efficiency, reduce engine friction. This type of engine oil reduces environmental impact by allowing longer oil change intervals. This certification of oil is the recommended factory fill for your GM automobile. *Maintenance requirements vary with use and driving conditions.  See your service consultant for details.
